A great love story that will capture your heart!

Melissa Blue has done it again: made me absolutely adore the sexy Scotsmen she creates. Marcus, our ruthless CEO who's pretending to be a handyman to get the company and the position he wants, is very, very sexy. And he thinks he doesn't have the capacity to fall in love. Now, I usually avoid any stores about ruthless businessmen, because they usually bore me. But Marcus and his backstory are quite intriguing. And then there is Ivy--who is a virgin even those she's closing in on thirty--but she's not one of these insipid ones that goes around saying "holy cow!" or talking about her "inner goddess". She's kickass and she feels authentic and real.
What I really enjoyed about Scot Appeal (and the entire Under the Kilt series) is that the relationships and the conflicts the main characters experience feels very grounded and realistic. These are adults dealing with adult problems and behaving like proper adults and not as overgrown teenagers. And the way race is addressed is very subtle without it becoming an overblown sticking point.
Following this story of unlikely neighbors who become lovers was so much fun. I admit: I ignored my yummy Swedish hubby to finish reading this book and he was a good sport about it. I will have to make it up to him this weekend. :)
I loved Scot Appeal and the chemistry between Marcus and Ivy, and I think you will too.

Love those Scots!

This is the 5th installment in the Under the Kilt series and it doesn't disappoint. Marcus is a flawed hero (what better one is there...lol) with some issues regarding love and his ability to give it. He's plotting his next move work wise when he meets Ivy, the heroine and his next door neighbor. Their witty banter and sexual tension was immediate but the fact that Ivy is a virgin is what twists the plot of this story a bit. I loved Ivy and Marcus together and enjoyed seeing how they fit so well together though they both tried their best to keep it casual and unattached. Melissa Blue didn't disappoint in the steaminess of this couple's scenes which were hot! I also loved that we got to get a glimpse of the lives of the rest of the Baird men and their loves. I thought this was a great read and hope the author continues this series with more hot Scotsmen.

I love her writing and I love those Scots!!!! Hot.
For as beautiful as ther are they also have their heart aches and burdens. Marcus was troubled man who thinks he doesn't deserve love or needs it. Ivy has taken her Grandmother's life word on love and marriage to heart which leaves her a 28 year old virgin. Wondering how time has passed her by. She had this idea that the perfect mad would in on a unicorn and marry her...good luck with that honey.We get to witness these two journey into love in spite of their selves..
I enjoyed their story but at times Ivy seemed a bit childish. Giggling mess around her sister sometimes and had a lot of questions most times for him.Women who want answers but don't particularly want to give any.
